This reunion coincided with the first anniversary of the tragedy inflicted on

the United States in 2001. We had come a long way since that fateful date and,

therefore had much to be thankful for. We felt that there was no better time for

us, as former SHIPMATES, to assemble together and demonstrate our

confidence in the values that we so readily served to preserve.
