2000 Reunion - San Antonio, TX
Texas had a great deal to offer and San Antonio was preserved in its historical past. We had a
tremendous turnout...134 shipmates attended. Following our memorial service at the
Admiral Nimitz Museum in Fredricksburg, a plaque honoring the USS TOLEDO (CA-133) and
her crews, was dedicated and unveiled by Helen Cain, (widow of Robert Cain, A Div, 53-55,)
and Leo Emielita, 1st Div, 47-60 (served 14 years aboard the USS TOLEDO).
